King Tutankhamen in his chariot to hunt the birds Papyrus Painting - (20X30 cm)
King Tutankhamen is depicted in a heroic form. He stands alone in his chariot, driving his team of horses at full speed in the chase after ostriches in the Eastern Desert.
Two birds have been shot with the king’s arrows, and his hound bounds forward to retrieve them.
A fine symbolic touch in the design is the ostrich fan. We see here Tutankhamen’s cartouche in front of the chariot.
